Oh what a night was had last night. Since I don't have class Friday (man I really better not get a tute Friday), I can go out on Thursday nights worry free which is nice. I met up with Amber, Thomas, and Rory last night. First we watched this crazy water fight between the all guys hall, Ricci, and the girls, Lady Ho Tung. Apparently every year they re enact when Ricci stole Lady Ho's gong. So there is this gong hanging up high and the girls throw water balloons on the guys as they lifted up a table with two dudes on it to get the gong. It was pretty cool to watch, a little bit like a way more intense Parade Night. Then Rory took us to this really good local restaurant, we just ordered some stuff to share, including bamboo fungus, haha. After that, we headed to Lan Kwai Fong because we heard there was a battle of the bands at the Cavern. It took us a while to get there, we rode the tram but missed the stop. Anyways, when we got there there wasn't much up at The Cavern. But as we wandered LKF, we saw a Elvis impersonator, that's right, Asian Elvis. Rory asked for a song, haha it was awesome, he did his rendition of Heartbreak Hotel right there in LKF. He also has a sweet business card. Nicky I think you would have been totally entertained. His name is Melvis. Then we went to this ice bar, it's this freezer you stand in, wear fur coats, and drink vodka. We met some crazy English businessmen, and by crazy I think I mean drunk, who were quite entertaining. Anyways they gave us free shots. Then Leah and I headed in to Fever, which is where "everyone" was. It was basically Club HKU, the Global Lounge with a bar and dancing. Later there I met up with Justin and Graham, who were pretty hilarious. I felt kind of like I was living in the movie Night at the Roxbury. Anyways, I got home around 4 ish after a fun night. There are some photos on Facebook of course. |
